School of Film & Media

The Rungta School of Film & Media is built for the new generation of storytellers, filmmakers, media creators and content professionals. The school offers practical, skill-based programs in filmmaking, direction, screenwriting, cinematography, editing, acting, podcasts, advertising films, documentaries, vertical dramas and digital content creation. Students do not only study filmmaking — they write, shoot, direct, edit, pitch and present their own work. The learning is built around real projects, live production exposure, industry-style assignments and portfolio development. Through the school’s Idea to Screen philosophy, every student experiences the complete journey of visual storytelling — from developing an idea to presenting the final film or media project on a platform. This journey is further strengthened through Rungotsav, Rungta University’s film and media festival, where students get a platform to showcase their work, receive feedback, build confidence and gain real audience exposure.
