Community Service Credit Module (Semester Break Engagement Program)
Introduction
Rungta International Skills University (RISU) believes that education extends beyond classrooms and laboratories. The true purpose of higher education is to create socially responsible, ethical, compassionate, and community-oriented citizens who contribute positively to society.
In alignment with the principles of experiential learning, social responsibility, skill development, and holistic education, RISU has implemented a structured Community Service Credit Module for students during the semester breaks.
Under this module, students will engage in meaningful community service activities while staying at their hometowns or local communities during vacations. Successful completion of 30 hours of approved community service work shall earn students Academic Credits.
The programme is designed to:
Promote social sensitivity and civic responsibility.
Encourage experiential and service-based learning.
Develop leadership, communication, empathy, and teamwork.
Strengthen university-community relationships.
Enable students to apply their knowledge and skills for societal welfare.
Support national priorities such as literacy, cleanliness, environmental sustainability, digital awareness, health awareness, and rural/community development.
