Program Description

At Rungta, the department of Pharmacy offers the postgraduate degree in Pharmaceutics that focuses on the application of scientific knowledge or technology to a pharmacy, pharmacology, and the pharmaceutical industry. The course includes methods, techniques and instrumentation in the manufacture, preparation, compounding, dispensing, packaging and storing of drugs and other preparations used in diagnostic and determinative procedures and in the treatment of patients. The duration of the course is two years; its syllabus is divided into four semesters and it is job orienting in nature that offers many opportunities to the candidates after passing it.

With this degree, a person could land jobs in the pharma industry in several niche areas, including research, regulatory affairs, new formulation development, marketing and administration.
