Career Yatra serves as the corporate social responsibility venture of Santosh Rungta Group of Institutions. The aim of this initiative is to reach out to the youth of backward areas and create career awareness among them which will help them succeed in opportunities that they are not aware of. Our team also addresses the challenges faced by them. The long term goal of the initiative is to increase success ratio, provide equal opportunities to all and reduce dropouts.
Traffic lessons on road safety to 5000 Government School and College students of the State were imparted on 22nd Sept 2015 in collaboration with Municipal Corporation, Raipur and Traffic Department. The programme was graced by Hon. Chief Minister Shri Raman Singh Ji and Mayor of Raipur.
Rungta Group recently became the third Centre for Prestigious International Institute of Peace in India, wherein various courses and activities relating to peace studies will be offered. The IIP's activities are wide-ranging: it will offer graduate-level degrees in conflict resolution and peace studies, promote research on cutting-edge issues relating to peacebuilding and participate in real-life mediations of communities in conflict.Further, the IIP brings a unique expertise in addressing the violent conflicts that take place in cities, particularly among youth and gangs.
A 36000 Sq. Ft. poster spreading the importance of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was unveiled on 10th Nov 2014 by Hon. Chief Minister Shri Raman Singh Ji and Shri Anurag Singh Thakur Ji, spreading the message of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Also a poem on Swach Bharat Abhiyan was also dedicated to the nation by Rungta Group Students.
A 3 Days Skill Upgradation Workshop for 600 Masons was organized at both the campuses on 10th March 2015 in association with JK Cements. The programme was done free of cost as a CSR activity
The Pharmacy Students participated in the camp organized under Mukhyamantri Bal Sandarbh Yojana on 6th Nov 2015 at 4 places and performed health check up of 237 children, who were suffering from malnutrition. They were also distributed medicines free of cost.
A 5 days workshop at Durg Central Jail for women inmates was organized on 25th July 2015 by College students & staff to make the inmates self employed after they get released from jail.
The College being almost 16 years into education has many batches passed out with many alumni at well placed at top level in many companies / own startups. The College through its web portal www.alumni.rungta.ac.in is well connected to all its alumni and has been regularly doing alumni meets at various locations round the year.
An awareness programme on Women Safety and Crime against women was conducted for general public on 10th September 2015 in the College premises. Additional SP Ms. Suresha Choubey was present in the programme.
Students of the Group celeberated Diwali of 2014 with senior citizens at the Old Age Home at Pulgaon and Durg. Students presented Diwali gifts and enjoyed with songs and dances spreading some happiness to the seniors and at the same time seeking their blessings.
The research in the Group is also aimed at helping the common people. For which our pharmacy department has come out with initial success in developing a medicine for Alzheimer's disease for which no medicines are available as of now.
The students of the Group visited Deaf and Dumb School on 3rd February 2015 and presented various programmes and spread happiness amongst the ignored section of the society.
A Community Camp and Awareness Rally were organized by College students at Gram Janjgiri on 20th December 2014 wherein the rural people were made aware about the importance of environment protection and women education.
A rally was organized by pharmacy students on World Pharmacist Day on 25th Sept 2014 and 2015 where the students spread the awareness of pharmacy and thanked people associated with pharmacy sectors in Durg and Rajnandgaon District.
With an aim to promote Hindi Language, the College hosted Hindi Rajbhasa Sammelan on 4th October 2015 where Hindi poets, historians and senior literary people brain stormed for the promotion of Hindi language. The programme was graced by Hon. Shri Abhishek Singh Ji, MP- Rajnandgaon.
A two day event in association with Mahindra Motors was organized on 24th October and 25th October which focused on green environment and its benefits. A rally in various public places at Raipur and Bhilai, a flash mob in leading malls of both cities, Inter College Competition on recycling waste and green energy was done.
A Mega Blood Donation Camp was organized by the Group at both the campuses on 20th Feb 2015 wherein staff members and students were motivated to donate blood. The event was done in association with Red Cross Society- Raipur, Apollo Hospital- Bhilai and Government Hospital- Durg.
On occasion of Green Day on 7th July 2015, various School students were distributed free plant saplings and they were made to plant it in their School premises spreading and explaining the importance of green and clean city. Also on same day 100 College students planted saplings in the Botanical Garden at Raipur.
